January Marketing Ideas and Inspiration

Happy New Year Marketers!  This month is all about starting your marketing year off right.  Here are a few ideas and suggestions you can steal for your marketing this month!

Month Long Celebrations:

New Year’s Resolution Month

1. Print rack cards that have your business or nonprofit organization’s resolutions on the front and a space that someone can write theirs in on the back.  This useful piece of paper will stick around throughout the year and always associate you with helping to reach goals!
2. Send out a refreshing newsletter.  Tell your readers about your business resolutions and how you hope to deliver them in the coming year.  
3. Share your employee’s resolutions on Facebook and Twitter and ask your networks for tips, tricks, and advice on how they can meet their goals.

Blood Donor Month

1. Schedule a blood drive at your location and send a postcard inviting customers to come and donate.  Give away an awesome promotional product or discount on your products and services for giving blood!
2. Ask your employees to give blood at a local hospital or bank and share photographs on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!  

Family Fitness Month

1. Want to grow your mailing list?  Hold a contest where new subscribers can be entered to win a local gym membership or certificate to fitness classes.
2. Share your favorite ways to incorporate fitness into your daily routine in a newsletter and on your social media pages.

Get Organized Month

1. Time is the something a person can never get back.  How can you help your customers or their businesses get organized?  Create a checklist for your customers on ways you can help them organize their life, whether it’s through your products or services, or by saving them time so they can focus on other things.
2. Now is an awesome time to have your mailing list scrubbed.  By organizing your list, you’ll be able to save money on this year’s mailings by making sure you are reaching your customers.

National Soup Month

1. Gather your staff’s favorite soup recipes and print them on postcards, include them in a newsletter mailing, or print a booklet for your clients, customers, and prospects.
2. Ask your customers to share their favorite soup recipes on your social media pages!  Have a contest where the recipe with the most likes or comments receives a prize.
